My passion is to help people improve their lives, find their purpose and reach their goals. For many years I have done psychotherapy and coached countless people on finding more satisfaction in their everyday lives. As a professor, I taught more than twenty different courses at the University of Maryland, including happiness, motivation, managing stress and conflict, parenting and building relationships. In addition to a Ph.D. in psychology, I hold degrees in education and economics, with knowledge in real estate and small business. My interest in wellness has been lifelong; I am also educated as a personal trainer.
For much of my life I have lived in the Washington, D.C. area, but also appreciate my Midwestern childhood. Family is important to me; I am a widow with several adopted children, stepchildren and grandchildren. Helping others, addressing environmental issues and lifetime learning are among my interests.
